LLORET DE MAR TO HOST THE FIRST EDITION OF COMIC CON COSTA BRAVA.

On 14 and 15 October Lloret de Mar will host the first edition of Comic Con Costa Brava, a themed convention with actors and actresses, cosplayers and technology and merchandising companies related to the Game of Thrones, Hobbit, Stranger Things and Stars Wars series.

Comin Con Costa Brava will be held in the auditorium of the Gran Casino Costa Brava and tickets can be purchased online at https://comicconcostabrava.com/ for €14.95 for adults and €10 for children (up to 14 years old). The driving force and organiser of this event is Alec Utgoff, a British actor of Ukrainian origin who is known for his role as Alec in Stranger Things and who lives in Lloret de Mar. Alex Utgoff explains that The Costa Brava and Lloret de Mar have a long tradition with the world of cinema and audiovisual productions and the Comic Con Costa Brava convention will offer this entertainment space where fans can share experiences and hobbies with their idolsFor this first edition, actors and actresses such as Tom Wlaschiha, Jaqen H’ghar in the series Game of Thrones and Commissioner Sebastian Berger in the series Crossing Lines; the actor Bernard Hill who plays Lord Terrence Tymber in Games of Thrones; and Julian Wyatt Glover, known for his role as Lord Terrence Tymber in Games of Thrones, have already confirmed their presence at the convention; Julian Wyatt Glover known for his role as Walter Donovan in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusadehis portrayal of General Veers in Star Wars V “The Empire Strikes Back and for his performance as Grand Maester Pycelle in Game of Thrones; actress Cara Buono, Karen Wheeler in the series Stranger Things, or actor Sylvester McCoy who played the wizard Radagast in Hobbit.

As well as the chance to interact with and have the actors and actresses of the series sign their names, there will be a cosplayers’ contest, stands with merchandising from the series and videogames. The first edition of Comic Con Costa Brava is expected to attract around 3,000 visitors throughout the weekend.

Just this summer, Lloret Town Council and Lloret Turisme organised “The Gardens of the Dragon”, the first themed tour of the filming of “House of the Dragon” in Santa Clotilde gardens, which was attended by cosplayers from the series. The visit took place in July and August in Catalan and Spanish and was sold out.
